Celebrating a top spot for their exceptional workplace culture and employee satisfaction

OMERS and Oxford rank 17th among best workplaces in Canada

OMERS and Oxford Properties proudly announce their ranking as the 17th best employer on the 2024 list of the 50 Best Workplaces™ in Canada, a recognition compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute.

This placement highlights their status as a global employer dedicated to operational excellence and employee satisfaction.

A significant 90 percent of OMERS and Oxford employees regard their workplace as excellent, a sharp contrast to the 60 percent average satisfaction reported at typical Canadian organizations.

Blake Hutcheson, OMERS President and CEO, expressed pride in the teams' efforts, attributing this achievement to the organization's commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive work environment.

He emphasized that this recognition is directly tied to feedback from their employees, reflecting the strong culture and community fostered within the company.

The recognition also pointed to OMERS and Oxford’s inclusive benefits programs, employee wellness support, and opportunities for learning and leadership development.

Nancy Nazer, OMERS Chief Human Resources Officer, noted the importance of a purpose-driven culture where inclusion, trust, and pride are paramount. She celebrated the ongoing efforts of all team members in achieving this accolade for the third consecutive year.

To qualify for this prestigious list, organizations must be Great Place to Work-Certified™ and, if they have 1,000 or more employees, they must complete the Great Place to Work Culture Audit questionnaire.

This ensures that only those truly dedicated to maintaining excellent workplace cultures are recognized.
