Co-CEOs bring more than two decades of experience to the role
Hazelview Investments is shifting to a co-CEO model that pairs its public and private real estate leaders, and long-time chief executive Ugo Bizzarri is moving into the executive chair role.
Effective immediately, Bizzarri is moving from chief executive officer to executive chair, and Hazelview has appointed Corrado Russo and Michael Tsourounis as co-chief executive officers.
Bizzarri will continue to support the firm’s long-term strategy while the leadership team runs the business.
Russo and Tsourounis will also remain chief investment officers of Hazelview’s public and private real estate investment platforms, respectively.
Each has more than two decades with Hazelview and has helped shape the firm’s strategy and growth.
The firm said the co-CEO structure aligns with its dual-platform model across private and public real estate investment strategies.
The move “reflects the strength of our leadership bench and the depth we've built across the organization,” said Bizzarri.
He said Russo and Tsourounis have played central roles in shaping Hazelview’s platform.
Russo has led Hazelview’s public real estate investment platform through multiple market cycles.
He has more than 25 years of investment management experience, with prior roles in portfolio management, equity research, and direct real estate investing at Forum Securities, Citi Property Investors, and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.
Tsourounis has led Hazelview’s private real estate investment platform, overseeing a team of investment professionals across multi-family investments, development, industrial, and credit strategies.
He sits on Hazelview’s Executive Committee, where he “has played a central role in driving disciplined, long-term value creation.”
“This transition is not about a change in direction; it reflects the continuity of the platform and strategy we've built,” said Tsourounis.
