Asset management firm launches new income fund

AGF Investments Inc. (AGF Investments) recently launched the AGF Enhanced US Equity Income Fund as they returned to Cboe Canada, as announced by the exchange holding company in a press release.

“We are excited to partner with Cboe, a leader in the global exchange industry, as we expand our line-up with the launch of AGF Enhanced U.S. Equity Income Fund,” said Karrie Van Belle, chief marketing and innovation officer of AGF Investments.

Cboe Canada, previously known as NEO Exchange, currently facilitates nearly 20% of all volume traded in Canadian ETFs and nearly 15% of all volume traded in companies listed in Canada. The fund is set to join 5 AGF ETFs that are already listed on Cboe.

“We are always honored to welcome an ETF issuer back to Cboe Canada. AGF’s return confirms the value of the exceptional support and enhanced reach we offer our issuers as we continue to bring more choice and innovation to investors and the Canadian ETF market,” said Jos Schmitt, president and CEO of Cboe Canada.

“We are thrilled to partner once again with AGF Investments for the launch of this new fund. AENU is a highly customized solution for investors looking to capitalize on the potential for growth in US equities while providing consistent income.”

Trading under the symbol AENU, the AGF Enhanced US Equity Income fund will provide exposure to a portfolio of dividend-paying US equity securities. It will also employ an option writing strategy that is actively managed and will provide an enhanced income potential as well as mitigate volatility.

“The Fund offers investors long-term capital appreciation while mitigating volatility and generating consistent income through the use of a dynamic overlay strategy, while also demonstrating our commitment to providing multiple ways for investors to access our capabilities,” Van Belle said.

The ETFs that are also listed under AGF on Cboe Canada are the AGFIQ Enhanced Global Infrastructure ETF (QIF), the AGFIQ Enhanced Global ESG Factors ETF (QEF), the AGFIQ Enhanced Core Global Multi-Sector Bond ETF (QGB), the AGF Global Sustainable Growth Equity ETF (AGSG), and the AGF Global Opportunities Bond ETF (AGLB).

Investors will be able to trade units of AGF ETFs through the investment channels they usually opt for with the inclusion of discount brokerage platforms and full-service dealers.
